our eventful move

Well, since I last posted a blog we have dealt with airplane delays, missed connections, baby vomiting in the airport and on the plane, a very sleepy and sick Christmas, a night in the ER with a very sick Emily, an ear infection for Anika, a too short visit with family, and then a long day of travel to get to New Mexico. We've been here in lodging at Holloman AFB for over 2 weeks now. The sun is wonderful, but there has been enough rain and snow to remind us that it is still January.





We are in the process of buying a home. It's a new 3 bedroom house that we are very excited about. Just a few more weeks and we can move in! I cannot wait to get all of our stuff unpacked so we can start to feel like we are home.

Our car is finally in the US and should be back in our possession in a week or so. Last time we checked it was at a port in Georgia. Then it goes to Texas and Eric will pick it up there and drive the 12 hours home. Until then we are getting our exercise walking everywhere. I've lost about 15 pounds since we have left Germany and while I am enjoying my new size I really need to stop losing.

Eric is settling in at work. There have been lots of appointments keeping him busy, but he got to launch his new plane today so I guess everything is coming along with him learning about the new aircraft.
